UI Templates

Are we allowed to use UI Templates available from sites such as Themeforest ?

If the UI Templates you use are publicly available for anyone else at the hackathon to make use of and conform to the official rules on https://developer.salesforce.com/million-dollar-hackathon then this is acceptable.

You should highlight in your project submission on challengepost that you are using such components and include them in your Git commit submission.

Also consider the judging categories when choosing the technology you use for your hack.

It sounds like you can buy a theme for the same reasons you can use an external API like those from twitter and linkedin. Your polish may be higher, but if your could be graded lower on the polish scale since you didn't provide all the polish. Correct?

If you use a theme that someone else created, you cant claim that as your own innovation or a use of Salesforce technology, so make sure that a theme is not an important aspect to your App.

If you use a theme, you will need to highlight this in your submission.

You may also want to check out what our Hackathon sponsors are offering in prizes if you use their technology with Salesforce. For example, Skuid and Twitter have their own prizes.

    Thank you.
