Important Deadlines and Information
Hi hackers,
How was your first night? Hope you’re having a great time so far!
Hack KitCheck out at the Hack Kit for some great technical resources, including how to get started with Force.com, Heroku, and Git.
Challenge Post Team Registration
Make sure every person on your team creates a profile on ChallengePost. Select a submission manager from your team who will start the app submission process and add teammates. Make sure you add them using the same email address they signed up for ChallengePost.
Don’t worry, you will be able to change your submission’s title and description later, but you need to have your project AND team members registered on ChallengePost by Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 12:00 PM. We recommend you do this as soon as possible and not wait until the deadline.
If you have any questions, just ask BeMyApp staff wearing black hoodies.
First Git Commit
Please keep in mind that Git Commits are required as part of your entry. You will be disqualified if you don’t commit your code during the required Git Commit timeframes.
For the first Git Commit deadline, please commit your code to your assigned private repository between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
For the lead developers who haven’t sent their Git usernames to BeMyApp, it’s time to do it now! Send an email with your username to salesforce1million@bemyapp.com.
Judging Criteria Scoring Guidance - Main Categories Only
Wondering what criteria your app will be judged on? Have a look at this scoring guidance doc to get an idea of how the judges could score your app. These are guidelines. We have given ranges and examples, but they are not intended to be the only considerations or examples for the hackathon judges.
And don’t forget, we’re here to help you if you need anything!
Happy coding,
The DF14 Hackathon Team
